Namaste Niki Ji,

Happy New Year 2009 to you and your husband. Here we had very nice time with youth in my church in Dumre. We stayed the whole night welcoming the New Year. We did lots of fun things and had nice food that we made ourselves there in the church.

So, how was your celebration there in USA? Anyway this year brings lots of new things to you, your family and to DHF. Hey, I have got the new thinking for the fund-raising that if you can share our DHF to the other churches there then hope if they can support us and for this you can even tell them that we are also go to church too and even you can say that I work in church in Dumre as quire and worship leader because I know that church people open their heart to help us.

About Santosh, I knew that he was again gone back to Damauli as to do the same job in jeep as money collector, as he was here in Bandipur jeep. But I was not able to meet him and so as to his other family.

Dil is sending you a lot of good luck and wishes on this new year.

Waiting for your email,
Bijay, DHF Bandipur

Namaste Niki Ji,

Wow, it is so wonderful to hear about that you are now pregnant! Do you know Dil will be very happy to hear about it because I will inform her as soon as I go back home. We are always praying about you and your family. We send you a lot of wishes and good health for the new baby and of course it is for you too. It sounds funny when you wrote about the belly not been showing yet because here in Nepal the women never express such a thing with the other. They just hide it and don't say anything with the others. How is your husband? He might be very happy for to be father.

AHA! I forgot to say to you that the children (Sushila, Santosh, Asmita and her sister Ashat) are asking you about when you come to Nepal? And where and how are you?

I am sorry to write you late because here I am still getting sick for I am suffering from the allergic cough and my nose pain. It is giving me very difficult time to breathe because it is always blocked and I can't travel and walk in air because it is painful. Now I am using the mask for my nose.

For this month I have to pay the training master his monthly payment and the master have informed me that they need the draft drawing pad and chalk and the eraser and the pen too. The girls are doing great at their training. They have finished the short Cholo and they are now at large Cholo and in Kurtha. I have told them that they will have their own tag for what they made after they are perfect on their training and even they will have their own business too. They are quite happy on this.

Here we are facing 16 hrs of power outage every day and mostly the power comes at night. This has effected the whole country and in every aspect of it.The constitution has still not been made by the government and there is a possibility for the fall of the government because the prime minister had spoken that if the other political parties try to do that then they will again go for the revolution - "IF GOVERNMENT FALLS THEN WE WILL TAKE IT BY FORCE," Prime Minister. Here the climate is also very cold but not much as there and not also snow.

Here the other families are well and the children are also fine but Bippin is giving me problem by not going to school. I and Dil are very concerned about it and we are giving advice and trying to know his problem for not going to school.

Please express my Nepali greeting "Namaste" and warm love to your mom and here Dil is also sending you and your family heart of love with lots of prayer for all of you there.

Love and prayer,
Bijay Kumar Ranam DHF Bandipur

Namaste Niki Ji,

Hello! Thank you very much that you send me the reply because we are worried about you if you are sick out there.

About Bippin, I think as I know and most of the time as I see from my house, his step-mother takes care of him and his brother but it is because of his own self he is not willing to go to school because still now we are helping all the children on their schooling and others too and also their family too. He doesn't have any problem to his health nor any disorder in any of his body. He is very well and a fit guy.

Tilak and his wife both work hard as porter from the jeep station to the market carrying all the stuffs of the people and they are also able now to help their family. About the children of DHF mostly Bippin the main cause as I think it is because of the fellowship with other friends he has around in the village. They mostly don't go to their school and play all day (as you mention in your email that he might have something inside his heart that he didn't want to share with us and we are also not been able to reach him). But this will cause very bad things in the future. I mean, as Santosh he might run from his home and never come back again. This means that his future will be destroyed and become a bad element for the country.

About the sewing training, the girls are now regular to it. Samundra is not concentrating on it very well.

Now I must leave because it is time for the power to be off. Take care. Dil is sending you a lot of rememberance and love. Say HELLO and Nepali greeting NAMASTE to all you family.

Bye Bye,
Bijay Kumar Rana, DHF Bandipur
