Communications From Abroad - March 2009

Namaste Niki Ji,

I am trying to write to you the email but the problem is here in Bandipur there is only one cyber but since the last few weeks the cyber was closed because the computer has been hacked. The owner of the cyber has also gone abroad and here his small sister and the old father run this cyber but they don't know much about the computer.

The next thing is last week I and some of my friends went to the CHIMKESWORI HILL which is the highest hill of south Asia. From there we can see all the terrai belt and the Thankot road of KTM and also the nice view of the mountain range. That is why I am late to write you.

I am very worried about to know that you are not going to come to Nepal in April because of the price of airplane tickets. I have told all the families about it and they are also very happy but now it makes it difficult for them to understand.

Here I have been working very hard for the families. Here every thing is going well. The children are regular to tutoring class and soon within this month they will have the final exam. The two girls are also very active now in their training and doing very well. And every Sunday the children are regular to the Rubbish Cleaning Programme (link to programs page).

Aha! I forgot to write you that the most important is Samundra has also started doing the volunteer service to Dil's Home Foundation. We both of us are keeping records of her work. For now I have not been able to send you the photos of all the work we are doing here because the camera has a virus and the computer does not accept it.

As you have wrote that you will not be able to come this year. It will be very long time. And here I take care of the children only like this because you know the children are growing and they have also their own desire and I cannot have them giving only food and other items, etc. Because I was thinking to talk about it when you come to Nepal but the thing has gone negative that you are not coming. If you say we should run the organization by renting the house for this year until the orphanage can be constructed then I will find the house and we can shift the children and slowly then we can go for the registration process to become official here in Bandipur.

Talk to you later. Say hello to your family,
Bijay, DHF Bandipur

Namaste Niki Ji,

Here the things are all fine. We are very warm feelings and glad to know that you care a lot for the DHF Bandipur.

In this recent time the country situation is getting bad because in the Terrai the Madeshi people are protesting against the Maoist government and the whole Terrai is on strike. There are no supplies and transportation and the price of all the daily basic needs have increased very high. The days are getting harder to live.

The plan ticket price is really shocking!

I know about the economic crisis all over the world and I understand that you cannot afford the high price for the plane ticket. Well, we pray all the time every morning and every night for this worldly problem and we hope that some day soon things will get better. This means we love you and we care about you all.

I must say that I have not gone for the shopping this month because it has not been a very long time (not the full month) that I have distributed the stuff to the families. Well, the electricity problem is somehow getting better, I mean the government has put less time for the power outage.

Well it has been good time to be in contact with you and make things clear for the both of us. We love you and your family all. We pray for you so that you can do the best for the DHF. WE PRAY YOU THE GOOD HEALTH AND PROTECT YOUR BABY. Say hello to your baby from my side.

Take Care,
Bijay Kumar Rana, DHF Bandipur

Namaste Niki Ji,

Here in Bandipur the internet is giving me very hard time and mostly the DHF email address.

About the Bandipur DHF, every thing is alright and all the children are having their final term examination and the children are doing good at their studies. They are regular to their tuition class too. The training for the two girls are also not going to their training because of their examination. Here the rain has still not come. The hot news is there is election of the Student Union all over the country and there has been the strike and violations in KTM.

Here Dil and I are also very fine. How is your family out there? How is your health and the baby? Again how is your mother's health? Say hello to your mother and your husband.

Now I must leave the cyber because in a few minutes the power will be off.

Talk to you later,
Bijay, DHF Bandipur

Namaste Niki Ji,

Here after the long time little rain has come yesterday evening and today afternoon. I am happy to hear all good news about the DHF official website and about the laptops and most importantly your health and your family. Thank you very much about all the work you are doing for the DHF. I myself including all the DHF family are grateful to you. We just want to say that we love you and we always remember you and your family in our prayer. Say hello to your husband from my side and say to your mother that we are praying for her.

Yeah! Children are having their final exam and I am always guiding them whenever I meet them and encouraging them to study hard and as I say they are regular to their tuition class too. I have talked myself to the tailor master about the children that have their exams so that they will not be able to come all the time period of their exam, and to give them extra time after the exam. He has also told me that he will give them the time.

The next thing is how long will it take to finish the official website of DHF? Yeah! That will be good to make the stickers of the DHF and including the webstie so we can distribute to the people and make them know about the DHF. I will tell Dil and she will be very happy to know this.

This much for today. See you in next email soon. Say hello to everyone out there in USA whoever knows about us!

Bijay Kumar Rana, DHF Bandipur

Namaste Niki Ji,

Hello! How are you there and how are you doing out there with your family? Hey! How is your visit to your mother? Is she recovered from her surgery? And how is your husband doing with his job and with the website?

Here the families are good but there have happened many things with the families. The first thing is Tilak and his old father had a fight three days ago. He beat his father very bad and father had cut in his head and had to be hospitalized. Tilak and his wife and his small son Bippin went down to Chitwan and as I heard from Bippin and other neighbors that he along with his wife and other son Binay will be living there from now onwards. But they did not come to talk with me and I don't know that they might or might not come back!!!! Bippin and his old grandmother had also went to visit their father and brother in Chitwan in a place called Tadi.

Here the children finished their exam and they are enjoying their holidays. The next thing is Shiva Giri's father (I don't know where he is and I have never met him) also died this week and he went to his funeral but he never told me that too. After he went to the funeral his daughter Muna came to me and told me that Shiva (father) had asked Rs. 3,000 and I was so shocked. It made me very angry because they are thinking that I have a lot of money and that I have to give it to them. But I didn't give them and told Muna that we can't afford the funeral cost.

The girls are again back to their training. They are doing very good too. Here Dil and I are also good and fine. Dil is having her 1-week school vacation from yesterday and tomorrow we are going for shopping.

Now I have to get home soon because it is starting to rain.

Talk to you later. Take Care,
Bijay, DHF Bandipur
