DHF Awaits new 2010 Cyber Assistant to file for 501(c)(3) status with IRS - "It will save us up to US$800 in application fees", Founder

Dil's Home Foundation is making every effort to obtain 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in order to become recognized by the IRS as an official non-profit organization. Although we are able to fill out our application by hand, it is in our best interest, fiscally, to await the launch of the IRS' "CyberAssistant" program. By doing so, this will save the organization up to $800 in application fees -- a higher percentage of your donations will go directly to our Orphanage Construction Project and DHF Programs rather than on administrative purposes. Thank you for your continued trust and support as we build our DHF community presence.

"Founder gives birth to first child 9/25/09: Healthy 10 lb. 7 oz. baby boy"

Our Founder, Nichole, and her husband have added a new addition to their family! Nichole labored for a total of 32 hours, with most of that time spent at home in an attempt for an at-home water birth. At about 8pm on September 24, 2009, Nichole informed her nurse-midwife that although the contractions were full-blown and extremely intense, the baby was not descending as he should have been. She began to go into labor distress with her heart-rate beating at approximately 166bpm. The contractions arrived one after another with no breaks in between for Nichole to rest. Shortly after, a call to 911 was made and an ambulance arrived to transport her to the Emergency Room. An examination showed that after approximately six hours of intense labor, she had only dilated to four centimeters. A local anesthetic was administered followed by an epidural. Nichole was transported to a labor room where her body would receive the rest it needed and the chance to labor appropriately. At approximately 1am on September 25, monitoring machines indicated the baby's heart-rate had dropped to 80bpm for about five minutes straight -- a baby's normal heart-rate should be 120bpm or above. After re-positioning Nichole on the bed, the baby's heart-rate returned to normal. At 5am another examination showed that she had dilated to 9.5cm, one-half centimeter under the required amount needed to give birth naturally. The nurses then assisted Nichole to a seated position so that her blood could circulate properly. After five hours, another examination revealed that she had not progressed to 10cm dilatation and so an emergency c-section was necessary to prevent further complications to the fetus. At 10:23am on September 25, 2009, the baby was delivered without incident.
