Communications From Abroad - October 2009

Namaste Niki Ji,

First of all, I personally and all the DHF Family wish you congratulations for the new baby boy has come to our DHF Family! I will tell this good and happiest moment to all the families and the DHF Members. At last, FINALLY, the boy has come out after the long waiting and the prayers. Thank goodness that you and the baby are all right. Dil will be very happy to hear this and you know that we are both excited to see him soon. Say hello to him from me and Dil along with all the DHF Family!

Here the vacation is going on for Dashain. All the families and children are celebrating Dashain well but we cannot help this year because all the money we have given to the workers and the transporter for the orphanage construction project. We have bills collecting still so it is important to keep getting donations from the people there in the U.S.

The Americans from Washington D.C. have not sent me any emails yet.

On Phoolpati, three days before Dashain "tika" in Bandipur, there was a gang war between the Bandipur local boys and the boys from Dumre. One of the boys from Dumre was injured by the khukuri [knife].

Here all the weather is nice and I am trying to meet the people in KTM from HOPE HOME about our outlaws (by-laws) for the registration process for DHF because the outlaws from our web site are not enough for the process and we need to go to the lawyers to do this process.

I also want to remind you that we are also planning to construct maybe two or three more rooms in the upper floor. So we only hope for you with the financial support because here in Nepal we cannot do fundraising until we establish the organization. Everyone we talk to, they just give some hopeful advice and thankful words on what we are trying to do for the community.

Now I don't have enough money to write more so take care and tell your husband and all the family hello from Dil and me and all the DHF Families.

Namaste Niki Ji,

I am writing to you because the day after tomorrow the workers are going to start the sorting of the roof and for the roof to be constructed. We needs a lot of materials like cement (70 sacks), grinded stone (4 trips of the tractor), sand (4 trips of the tractor), and iron rods (4 bundles of 3mm and 7 bundles of 4mm). For this we don't have enough money. The only money we will have is what you send this time. Dil and I are very worried about this because we don't have enough money and some of the people, they laugh at us because they think we won't finish the orphanage.

Namaste Niki Ji,

Thank you for your suggestions because these days we are upset with what the people say about us. Yeah! As you say we are doing great here and we are on our way to success with our organization. Dil and I personally are very greatful to you for you're "behind the scene" for this organization.

Here from yesterday the worker are again on their work and they have carried all the materials like bamboo, wood, and plywood. From tomorrow they will start sorting the roof.

It is very good to hear that some people are donating to our orphanage and that people are willing to give. I will update all on what is going on here. Hey! Say hello to your husband and to the baby. Say we love you to him.
