Communications From Abroad - September 2009

Ho! I have just arrived from Pokhara from training so that's why I was unable to write to you while I was there. It was very crowded there.

Here now Dashain is coming closer and everyone is now preparing for it. Within 2 weeks it will come. We are also planning to give the food stuffs to all the families. Here the families are all fine and the children are also doing great.

I have all the photos of our work but there is a problem with the ocmputer so I could not send you the photos, but I am always trying to send them to you. I am sorry to inform you that Krishna Pradhan and his wife have already gone to London. It has already been 2 months.

The next thing is that Dil and I have talked to many people here in Bandipur and the people from the tourism board and everyone at The Old Inn too. Even many tourists. The last time there was one tourist (girl) that Dil and I have talked to and have given her the web site of our organization. I have also talked to every hotel manager and the owners requesting them to raise funds. I have talked tothe VDC chairperson many times but they always tell me that we need to have business cards. They saythat after that we can talk to many people we know and also to the tourists who visit us.

I also met friends during training. He knows some of the Christian organizations in KTM who work for orphanages and help a little with financial support. After some time I will go visit them in Kathmandu.

About the orphanage, we have not been able to install the roof yet because we need more donations.

We are very happy for you and the baby, especially Dil. She is praying and fasting for you and the baby. Email me after the baby is born because we are longing to see him because we are always praying for him.

It is raining now and starting to get dark so I will try to write to you next time. Say hellp to everyone there and we are always praying for you!

Namaste Niki Ji,

I am very happy to hear that you are going to give birth this week so please let me know how it is going with you. Here the Dashain festival is almost here, only one more week. The people are very happy and excited.

These days I have also met with the chairperson of the VDC about the organization. He advised me that first we need to form the Committee and have our own organization's outlaws (by-laws) and to make our own business cards. After that we can talk to the VDC members and they will give us permission from the VDC. After that we can register in the district office and then to the central office in KTM.

I have talked to the Bandipur Village Resort owner and he also gave me advise that we should have our own business card so that we can give it to him and he can talk to many other people that he knows. He has also given word that he is going to help us.

The last week from September 6th to 11th at our church, we had a team from the US, Washington D.C. There are 14 of them from the church and they stayed the whole time in Bandipur. We have showed them the construction work and told them about the orphanage project and also gave them the web site. Among them one lady named Angel and a guy named Jeff, they are more interested in our project. I gave all the information about you and how you are helping with this organization. Now they are back in the US already and I hope they might try tocontact you. From here I will also try to make contact with them.

The next thing, I have also talked to one of the people from Kathmandu since I've known him for a long time.He has also one home in KTM called HOPE HOME for more than 14 years. I have also given him our website and talked to him about the process to be an established organization. He also advised for us to have the outlaws (by-laws) and the committee and the business cards. He also advised me that it is very hard work that we have chosen, so first have fundraisers to build our own house with the necessities for it and also have enough money to go through the legal process.

Dil is always praying for you and the baby and sending you a lot of love and prayers. Take care and say hello from our family to all your family and most importantly the new baby boy!
