Founder's Travel Journal: Emails from America and A New Teaching Approach Day 16
-NPRs. 210 = 3.42min talk time (US$3.08)
I read in an email sent by my mother a few days ago that my brother, Kyle, is joining the Marines. He got a 95 out of 97 on his PT exam. Mom titled the email "Kyle's Prom Pictures". Pictures attached but not the topic of discussion. She's worried but it was foresight on many levels that I saw this coming. He had been wanting to be a Marine since he was 7 years old. Thanks to my participation in J.R.O.T.C. Freshman year of high school. We were the Marine branch of the military.
I spoke to my love today! It was so nice to hear him! He almost didn't recognize me when I said hello. My call was quite unexpected as it was 7:30am Chicago time and I have this blasted weather clogging my nasal passages, making my voice sound stuffy and cartoon-like. (weather: humid, partly cloudy, warm, 86 degrees F or 30 degrees C).
I have also decided on a new approach for teaching the children. I am going to try teaching class as a whole in the mornings and then for the afternoon course I am only taking the handful of students that have more potential. We will see how that goes.
